Parent Advisory Group @ EPIC

MAPS has partnered with the EPIC leadership to better understand and revamp youth and parent programs to better meet their needs, provide programs that are relevant, and keep youth connected to the masjid now and in the future, as the youth are the leaders of the next generation.

COVID Response Series
April - December, 2020

Over the summer of 2020, we launched into a regular community dialogue through our Instagram and Facebook pages, with the use of live videos, webinars, and Q&As. We had a very positive response for the community and were grateful to serve as a community resource during a difficult time. More available on our Instagram page.

Back to School - Home Edition
July 28 - August 18, 2020

Several MAPS counselors came together during the pandemic to educate youth on how to fight social isolation, improve communication skills, overcome anxiety/stress, manage expectations, and more.

Children’s Social Emotional Health Storytime @ EPIC

Several MAPS counselors coordinated to provide a social-emotional health storytime for kids that included a discussion and activity on worry and anxiety for kids ages 6-10.

Imam Workshop @ EPIC
November 30, 2018

This meeting was a vision of MAPS, and a result of years of effort put into its founding so that we can bridge the gap between mental health and spiritual wellbeing with improved understanding and insight. This gathering was the first meeting of a series to dialogue, brainstorm, and come up with best practices in a quest for a stronger community – not just in our structures and organizations, but strong to the core of each members’ heart, mind, and soul, solidifying families one individual at a time.

IACC Suicide and Crisis Management
